The Fraternity

Fraternity: (Latin frater: "brother") a brotherhood organized for a common purpose.

One of the highlights of my ministry is the opportunity to disciple people. I normally have two or three men with whom I meet individually on a weekly basis for one on one study and prayer. It is a great thing to see the Holy Spirit move uniquely in each one of them.

Hardly without an exception each person will say, “I wish others could experience this.” The experience they are referring to is a weekly encounter of grace. Our meetings are a safe place to openly discuss Bible truths and struggles without condemnation. It is a place where we challenge each other to mature into the person that Christ has died to make us. It is a place of encouraging one another to believe and walk in the reality of Christ living within us. After months of prayer and planning, MeadowBrook is opening a safe place of grace to all men.

On September 13, MeadowBrook is launching The Fraternity, a weekly gathering of men in a room of grace for the purpose of maturing in Christ (Mondays, MeadowBrook Conference Center, 6:30 – 7:30 AM).

The Fraternity is not an accountability group, which often encourages men to attempt life-change based on their own strength. The Fraternity will teach and encourage men to accept powerful life-changing truths that are proven supernatural. The Fraternity is relational; it is small organized groups of men engaged in one another’s lives.

Some of the life-changing discussions will be:

* Understanding Your Identity in Christ
* Trusting the Whole Gospel—having
   confidence in the change that
   occurred the moment you trusted in 
   Christ
* Seeing Yourself for Who You Really
   Are in Christ
* Walking in the “New You”
* Becoming the Spiritual Person God
   Wants You to Be
* Living Powerfully by Believing and
   Living the Truth
* Walking in Mature Faith
* Winning the Battle of Your Mind
* Healing Emotional Wounds from Your
   Past

The Fraternity is for the serious. This is no “biscuit, coffee and a prayer” men’s meeting. The Fraternity is a no frills gathering of men who desire what is genuine, including the face that stares back in the mirror.
